Why I brought you here.

A long time ago, before I had even met my husband, I dreamt of someday becoming a mother. As a little girl I enjoyed playing house with my miniature kitchen and my baby dolls that I'd dress up and take for walks around the house, just as I watched my mom do with my brother and I. I used to dream of one day falling in love with my prince charming and creating a beautiful family together as I watched my favorite Disney Princess movies, just like any other little girl. As I grew up and started my journey into life and taking steps closer and closer into my adulthood and figuring out who I was and who I was going to spend my future with, I fell into the norm. You go on dates, you get to know someone, you date and then you find out who that person is and once you did, you had to make the decision of whether or not you enjoyed who that person was. If they fit you.
At only 18 years old, I was lucky enough to find my person. I found him at a local mall we both at the time worked at, and I instantly fell in love. Without even speaking a word, I fell in love. Just one look and that was it. It was like a fairytale and definitely love at first sight...for me, at least. As quick as it was, 6 months into our relationship, we decided to try for a baby. Was it the smartest decision? Probably not, but it was the best decision we have ever made. Just a few months later I found out that I was pregnant and the race was on to get married before he or she would be born.
Two kids and one on the way later with my wonderful husband of 3 years and I can tell you, I have learned so much. I started this blog to one, open up a little bit of myself that most people don't get to see, and two, to take you on the journeys of all 3 of my pregnancies and births. It is my hope to shed some light on the differences of births whether it be hospital, home or birth center births, I hope that I can reach at least one person to shed some knowledge on hospitals vs. natural births. With my two previous pregnancies, I gave birth in a hospital. The first was induction and the second, I went into labor on my own but had a few medical interventions that I deeply regret. Now with my third and final baby, I will be delivering at a birth center via water birth and this blog is to let all of you ladies in on my experiences to help you make the best decision for you if you are pregnant and still unsure what kind of birth is best for you and baby. I'd like to tell you all about my OB experiences and now my midwife experiences. I hope that you'll follow along.
